The roots of Laitse Manor date back to 1637, when it was established as an independent manor, separated from Ruila Manor. Over the centuries, the manor has belonged to several noble families, including the von Ullrichs and the von Mohrenschildts, under whose leadership the place's dignified and multilayered history developed.
Woldemar von Uexküll, who acquired the manor in 1883, played a decisive role in shaping its current appearance. Under his leadership, a new, neo-Gothic-style main building was built next to the old manor heart – a romantic castle completed in 1892 that gives the site its recognizable character to this day.
The last manor owner before the historical upheavals was Ullrich von Bremen, who owned the manor until its expropriation in 1919. Today, Laitse Castle carries the stories of centuries, offering visitors a unique opportunity to experience history as a living and inspiring environment.
